A Scandinavian Spring in the Connecticut Woods
An Immersive Wellness Day Retreat
Join us for a guided wellness retreat offering a rejuvenating journey to reset and reclaim your well-being.
May 3, 2024
10:00am - 2:30pm
North Stamford, CT (location TBA)
This is a beautiful, guided journey to ground yourself in the healing energy of nature, and spring forward with intention and clarity.
Join co-creators Tami McCarthy (Soul-preneur, The Soulful Lounge/Tambra Collective), Ginger Richardson (Integrative Health Coach, The Conscious Collective) and Elizabeth Blanchard (Founder, Womens Networking Group of Fairfield County) for a deeply restorative and soul-nourishing mini-retreat at a private home in North Stamford, CT. Featuring special guest, spiritual healer Vasiliki Lagoudis.
We are limiting the group to 10 women for a more intimate gathering where connection to self, nature and each other can be experienced more deeply.
Upon arrival, each guest will receive an energy clearing and rebalancing by Vasiliki as we start off with sacred connection and setting intentions in an opening circle.
Next, we will head outside with Ginger for contrast therapy sessions with cold plunge and wood-fired sauna sessions with the wooded land as our backdrop. (See more on the benefits of contrast therapy below.)
Guests will gather for a nourishing farm-to-table lunch specially prepared using organic and clean ingredients, where we will spend time in community conversation.
After lunch, we will take a meditative walk in the serene woods to round out our journey with forest bathing, gratitude, sacred drumming and a closing circle.
We look forward to welcoming you to our spring retreat!
Pricing is all-inclusive. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a bathing suit and towel. Address will be provided upon registration.
Ginger Richardson is a wellness expert in many modalities, as well as an Integrative Health Coach. She will be conducting contrast therapy sessions (alternating cold immersion and heat exposure) during our retreat, which combines the use of a state-of-the-art cold plunge and an equally state-of-the-art wood-fired sauna. Contrast therapy offers a range of physical and mental health benefits:
-
Enhanced Circulation: Alternating between cold immersion and heat exposure causes blood vessels to dilate and constrict, promoting healthy circulation throughout the body. This process can improve overall cardiovascular health.
-
Muscle Recovery: The contrast between cold and heat helps to reduce inflammation and muscle soreness, making it an effective method for enhancing post-workout recovery and reducing the risk of injury.
-
Boosted Immune Function: Regular contrast therapy has been shown to stimulate the immune system, helping to fend off illness and enhance overall immune function.
-
Detoxification: Sweating in the sauna aids in the elimination of toxins from the body, while the cold plunge helps to flush out metabolic waste. This dual effect supports the body's natural detoxification processes.
-
Stress Reduction: The alternating sensations of cold and heat promote the release of endorphins and other feel-good hormones, leading to a reduction in stress levels and an overall sense of relaxation and well-being.
-
Improved Mental Clarity: Contrast therapy has been associated with improved cognitive function, including enhanced focus, concentration, and mental clarity.
-
Skin Health: The combination of heat and cold can improve skin tone, increase circulation to the skin's surface, and promote detoxification, leading to a clearer, more radiant complexion.
-
Enhanced Mood: The release of endorphins during contrast therapy can lift mood and alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety.
-
Overall, contrast therapy using a cold plunge and wood-fired infrared sauna offers a holistic approach to wellness, addressing both physical and mental health concerns while promoting relaxation, rejuvenation, and vitality.
We are thrilled to be offering this experience alongside meditation, nourishing food, energy healing and nature for the ultimate day retreat right in our community.
